About Us | Sonorous Love
BIO
Marissa founded Sonorous Love in 2024, blending her artistic vision with a background in retail business, project management, and 15 years of experience with crafted, ethical and slow fashion brands in New York City, San Francisco and Minneapolis. Along with passions for wellness and holistic healing throughout her adult life, all roads must begin with conscious consumption. What we choose to adopt into our lives is not only a vote with our dollar, but of our being.
Raised amidst Minnesota's wild landscapes, she developed a deep appreciation for nature, which continues to be shaped by both everyday excursions and travels to distant lands and bodies of water. This appreciation inspires actions toward conservation through volunteering and supporting activists who are making an impact around the world.
Based in the Twin Cities, Sonorous Love combines a love for craft, design, and sustainability to create and curate thoughtful, ethical wares that honor our world and bring timeless beauty to communal and personal spaces alike.
DESIGNS AND TEXTILES
Our designs are inspired by wild spaces to share the message of love, resilience and regeneration. Join us on our journey as we create unique, warm-yet breathable, 100% jacquard* woven cotton blankets. Heirloom quality and made to last, these durable and inspiring throws will soften over time and become a favorite to lounge in for generations.
Toss your blanket over your favorite chair, hang as an art piece on your wall, or take dangle from your arm as you embark on an outing into nature. Versatility is the name of the game - there is no wrong way to appreciate Sonorous Love textiles.
Our small business sources from a mill in the USA who weaves yarn of 100% cotton (with up to 25% recycled cotton fibers), has environmental and socially aware practices and employs skilled, thoughtful people throughout the supply chain.
*Textile Glossary: Jacquard is a woven, textured design that utilizes a loom that lifts and lowers warp and weft (vertical and horizontal) yarns to create a pattern that has an inverse design on the back.
