Designs Inspired by Habitat + Endangered Species

I have a deep and unshakable love for our planet. It’s this love that drives me, igniting my passion for the beauty and complexity of the natural world. Sometimes, I find myself lying awake, marveling at the intricate connections that make life so magnificent and sometimes unbelievable. This wonder is my endless source of inspiration. My goal is to share that sense of awe with you—through every design, every stroke, every carefully crafted product.
My design process is rooted in celebrating nature’s beauty, specifically color, texture and composition. From watercolor and collage to digital art, I blend these mediums to create organic shapes, patterns and portraits that are woven into our natural cotton throws. Each piece is not just a textile, but a story—a tribute to the incredible ecosystems we all depend on.
When people ask me why I care so deeply about environmentalism and conservation, my answer is simple: it’s because we all live here. Every breath we take, every mundane and/or monumental choice, is tied to the health of our environment. For example, consider the role of mangroves. These resilient coastal guardians protect shorelines from storm surges and rising seas, offering critical habitats for countless species. Yet, they’re under constant threat, often sacrificed in the name of development. Through local zoning and planning meetings, you can impact whether these sacred and beneficial ecosystems are sacrificed.
Our fellow inhabitants on this planet—whether they walk, fly, or swim—don’t have a voice in the decisions that lead to habitat loss. As their homes shrink, these animals are forced into closer contact with humans, creating challenges for both. We've all seen the videos of unexpected encounters with wildlife—bears, elephants, snakes—but the real question is, how can we prevent their homes from being destroyed in the first place? These special and beautiful places we love visiting, that bring us so much joy and serenity, are under constant threat of economic growth.
The answer starts with awareness. When we see what’s happening and speak up, we become part of the solution. I’m committed to being that voice for nature. But it’s not just about me—it’s about all of us. Each one of us has the power to contribute to change, whether by supporting conservation efforts, voting with our dollars, sharing important messages, or even getting involved in advocacy and policy-making both locally and nationally.
We all have unique skills that can fuel this movement. Together, we can protect the ecosystems that sustain us, ensuring a future where nature and humanity thrive side by side. Because, after all, this planet is our home, too.
With Sonorous Love
